Misc Headcanons: She considers "Maxine" her deadname and plans to change her legal name to Max.
After completing physical therapy, Max switches between using crutches (decorated with stickers, given to him by various friends, and sewn/knitted wraps given to him by Nancy and Eddie), using her wheelchair (decorated with spiked handle covers made for her by Eddie, stickers given by various people, keychains made and given to her by Eleven and Lucas, and a back cover made Eddie and Nancy.

Eddie is her dealer and sells her weed and ketamine.

Instead of Death: After the mindflare just barely missed Billy's heart, he's kept in a governmental hospital away from his family until he's healed enough internally to be transferred to the Hawkins hospital to deal with the rest of his external injuries. Her father, seeing this as an excuse to leave Billy behind and assuming he'll be expected to pay for medical expenses, flees and moves back to California. While stuck in hospital, Max very rarely visits and exclusively comes accompanied with either her mom or Steve, Jane visits more often and most of the time talks about Max, once again, mostly accompanied by Steve, who himself occasionally visits alone, mostly to talk about what he wants what he's recovered, if he wants to be a brother and earn this chance of redemption, and talks to him about how to get over

himself, how to channel his anger into a more productive way, to understand other people's perspectives, or just not be a dick to people he doesn't understand. Once she's out and healed enough to take care of herself, Billy stays with Max's mom on-and-off, avoiding them both most of the time and spending some nights in her car rather than staying in the house. Eventually, after building his own kind of pain management, he starts a routine of meeting up with Steve to play basketball and talk every week. She still has major anger issues and struggles with making connections and keeping them, but is slowly getting better through small acts of helping her sister (and calling her his sister!), though Steve still constantly bugs her to actually say sorry and ask to make up for all the bad she's done.

During Corroded Coffin's excursions out of town, Frankie often times ends up clambering in the back of Eddie's van to try and get in drag, usually incidentally flashing the others while getting dressed and trying to tuck. In the clubs and bars they visist, he tends to enjoy any and all attention he gets for his extreme drag looks, every now and then even briefly entertaining any romantic or sexual advances, even as she has no intention of following through and soon enough has to turn them down.

Frankie's drag takes a lot of inspiration from tradgoth and hairmetal, with big crimped and back-combed wigs, either large graphic liner or dramatic smudgy liner, dark and sharp overdrawn lips, white highlight and black contour.
